Meet Our Financial Disciples

Pedro Rosario

I am a native of New York City and a proud alumnus of Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where I made two pivotal decisions that shaped my life. It was there that I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior and met my wife, Robin. I am grateful for the spiritual growth I’ve experienced, supported by both friends and my wife, and we have been blessed to celebrate over 30 years of marriage. Together, we have two children: Parker and Arianna.

The foundation for my passion for financial stewardship was laid during my time at Taylor University. My wife and I made a commitment to live on a budget, and by God’s grace, we were able to pay off our undergraduate student loans in just 10 months after graduation. This journey was guided by the Holy Spirit, especially considering neither of our parents had taught us about effective money management. My personal interest in financial stewardship led me to pursue additional education, including investment courses, preparing taxes for H&R Block, and teaching financial principles to young married couples.

A significant turning point in our financial journey came early in our marriage when we attended a Ron Blue video series. This experience ignited my passion for financial stewardship. Since then, I’ve attended several Christian Financial Concepts seminars and listened to the How to Manage Your Money radio show. Throughout my career, I have been continually drawn to helping others manage their finances with wisdom and integrity.

Looking back, I can see how God has been preparing me for a ministry focused on financial stewardship. After much prayer and reflection with my wife, we both felt called to step out in faith and join Crown Financial Ministries, where I continue to serve others through financial coaching and education. I am honored to guide individuals and families towards financial freedom, with a foundation rooted in Biblical principles.

Parker Rosario

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, I embarked on my academic journey at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where my faith was truly ignited. During my freshman year, I took a trip to Israel—a trip I initially chose to avoid taking a second Biblical Literature class. It was there that I encountered the Lord in a profound way, marking the beginning of my spiritual journey.

At Taylor, I earned degrees in both Business Management and Marketing. In my senior year, a class discussion on the power of compounding interest sparked a passion within me that changed the course of my life. It was shocking and fascinating to me that many of my classmates, all seniors about to graduate, had no idea what compounding interest even was. This moment was a revelation from God, showing me that I needed to do something about this lack of financial education.

During this time, God also made it clear to me what my path would be after graduation. I applied to Northwestern Mutual in Indianapolis and was hired as a financial advisor, where I spent a year helping clients create holistic financial plans, including life insurance, disability insurance, and investment advice. However, God soon called me back to Raleigh to care for my mother, who was facing health challenges.

Upon returning to Raleigh, I joined Equipping Wise Managers to continue pursuing God’s calling to educate others about Biblical principles and finances. It was during this time that I also became a member of Vision Church, where I quickly connected with the community and leadership. Since joining in 2021, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Operations Director since 2022, where I’ve been able to implement initiatives like offering free 1-on-1 coaching to church members and teaching the church’s stewardship principles to our new members’ class.

God has used me to disciple over a hundred students at Vision Church, and since 2023, I’ve led a financial discipleship Bible study that helps believers integrate Biblical wisdom into their finances. We dive into what it means to be a wise manager through the lens of the Bible. In December 2024, God called me to create a financial principles book for Equipping Wise Managers workshops. By January 2025, I had completed the workbook, which was first used in Cleveland for a church that hired us to help their congregation build Biblical financial literacy.

I’ve been fortunate to receive wise counsel when it comes to managing my finances. Through God’s guidance, I’ve been able to pay off $20,000 in student loans in just a year and a half, and even maintain a good credit score by the time I was 25. I share these experiences not to boast, but to show how God can work in our finances when we seek to honor Him in every area of life.
